Dear Friends and Supporters,
-
As part of the official 9/11 Tenth Anniversary Commemoration in NYC, a 3000 flag 9/11 Field of Honor was created within site of Ground Zero. This One Life ~ One Flag tribute was the only 9/11 forum open to the general public and was visited by over half a million people. Each flag represented one life that was taken on 9/11.
-
The Field was erected by volunteers from all 4 branches of the military and taken down by volunteers from the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3 in NYC. You can see the photos at:

While supplies last we are offering the actual flags that flew at the New York City 9/11 10th Anniversary Field of Honor. Each of these official flags is silk screened identifying it as a flag that flew on The Field and packaged with a distinctive insert suitable for framing.

They were specially manufactured for the NYC 9/11 Field of Honor by US manufacturer Annin Flagmakers. These very special flags are sure to become a family heirloom to be passed to future generations. We know that you will cherish this historical flag. Please note that a portion of the sales of all flags goes to the National 9/11 Memorial, Voices of September 11 and to the Wounded Warriors Project.
-
-
Lastly, we at the Flag of Honor/Flag of Heroes Project wish you a wonderful holiday season and a joyous and peaceful New Year.
-
It will make a tremendous difference in our efforts to remember those who died if you would please forward this newsletter to as many people as you can. Thank you.
-
Sincerely,
John Michelotti
